SOOC = straight out of camera (take 5*)

Has it really been five weeks since Melody started this?!?

Please check out the SOOC crew at:

Slurping Life
This Straight Out Of Camera shot is from Itty Bit's first Christmas.
It was a joyous time to celebrate the miracle of the best gift we could have gotten.
Admittedly, today was not a grateful day. It wasn't Itty Bit; it was me & Mr. Daddy.
A workplace situation has us both on edge, and my nerves are frayed.
Mr. Daddy sat down and wrote the most amazing thing.
It immediately melted the stress and made me remember what a talent he has with words.
I'm grateful again.
And I've asked permission to share this in hopes that you'll agree
what an unbelievably blessed girl I am.
Thank you Mr. Daddy

My toddler has toes and buttons and
He is full of mischief and troubles and woes.
He brings smiles and happiness and blessings bestows

What miracle is this that God has allowed?
To fill our lives and make us so proud.

To God be the glory, the honor and praise,
We thank him daily for the gift that he gave.

When first we learn of his presence to be,
Shock, bewilderment, and uncertainty,

But closer to the arrival date he imminently came,
And news of his health so sadly foretold.
The bonding and love began to grow,

As each of us struggled to sever our pasts,
And looked forward tentatively as through a murky glass.
A wondrous miracle did finally appear,

With one healthy kidney, and plumbing askew,
He entered our lives, and how our love grew…

A family we became, with trials anew,
We’ll face them boldly and will let love guide us through.
When storms of this life we gravely face,
We will stand together united in our faith.

When first I saw you so Beautiful and young,
How could I have known that one day we’d be one?
So to the crux of the matter I have finally come.
And that is, “Once upon a Miracle” has finally become……………..

Wow. Bawsed on the stuff I recieved in Jr. High and High School I was sure that men had lost the ability to write poetry. This is beautiful. Thank you for sharing.
