Not a typical day at the office..

I was going through some archived photos at work the other day, and came across some pics that my brother and I took awhile back on a typical day in our line of work. Since that day I have moved back to the shop and office more, but it's still a thrill and blessing to get out and see our beautiful state from these perspectives.

First thing you have to do is convince yourself that it's worth the effort to go vertical for 250 or so feet. (can you see the tips of my shoes?)

Then not get sidetracked rigging the tower for the job!!!

Then tie off, and not get zoned into looking down :o) and you will be rewarded with this stunning view!! Kinda makes the trip worth it.... Eh! (Thats the Queets river flowing into the Pacific)

Or this look at the Olympics.

One last look before we begin for the day.. (looking back up the coast towards Kalaloch Lodge)

That, my friends makes a day at the office SO worth it...

have a great day :o)

Absolutely beautiful.

And you know I volunteered to be a tower monkey too. Go figure they wouldn't let a pregnant woman climb at the time :)

Thanks for writing this hon - love when you share what you love.

Beautiful scenery... being a programmer, I am always jealous of people that get to go outdoors once in awhile for their work.

OK, my stomach sank on the first one...this being from a fear of heights person. Yikes. But I have to say the scenery is absolutely beautiful. Love the shots. Gorgeous!

I'm with Mimi, that first pic made me dizzy but I think once I got up there the view would be worth it!

Have a great weekend,

These are great shots, Mr. Daddy! I don't think I could go up that high, but thanks for sharing the perspective here and your beautiful state. Yeah, I'm pretty sure that I wouldn't be able to do that LOL!

Well I've heard the views from the tops of the towers are amazing. My husband did it for a short period of time. His friend's father has a tower company here in New Mexico so they both worked for the company for a while. Long before I knew him or I'd have been making him take a camera up every time. LOL Beautiful shots. Although I don't envy you the wind when it starts blowing.
