I Heart Faces

This week's I Heart Faces theme (self-portrait) is a real challenge. But since I've noticed some of you other camera-shy moms getting on the other side of the lens, you've shamed me into it :)

Sorry they're both of me... I couldn't find any self-portraits of Mr. Daddy - cuz he's worse than our toddler about running from the business end of a camera.

So, if y'all remember - I got in between two horsies throwing a fit at feeding time. Yeah, lucky me, it was mudddddddy.

And for the kid entry, here's one of my very favorites with Itty Bit. He was being his usual cute self and in spite of being severely challenged with short-arms... I managed to catch this shot.

I hope this kiddo never forgets how very much he's loved!

Go check out some amazing self-portraits!

Oh Rachel these are just wonderful. The one of you and your little man is priceless. The love is just pouring out on this. Great shot. And the first one is just so darn fun, I love it. You can totally see your personality, it is great.

Such great shots. LOL at your muddy puckered face - you actually look very pretty covered in mud! But that one of you with Itty Bit is gorgeous - I'm sure you both will treasure it in the years to come.

Wonderful pictures! As a rancher's daughter, I have to say I've had mud/manure on my face many times. Had someone managed to survive snapping a picture of me afterwards, they would not have ended up with such a beautiful shot! FABULOUS JOB!!

Beautiful shot of you and itty bitty. I love it. It looks like a studio shot and his face is just precious. I remember that photo of you. Even though you got a little messy, you are still so pretty!

Girlfriend! Those are both awesome! And IF I were a betting person, I'd put money on the one of you and Itty Bit getting you another button for your sidebar. No lie.. it just isn't fair that both of you are that cute! He could be a child model, with that smile, those eyes, and the tilt of his head.. his face loves the camera. And you are just gorgeous, even when you've just played equine referee! I'll be looking for you in the Top 10... again...

I love, LOVE both of your entries this week! The mud-covered face is just too cute, but I LOVE your pic with Itty Bit. It seriously looks like someone else took it - you can't look that natural for your own camera! And I love that it's in B&W. Great choice!

Man, you make mud look good! I love the attitude of frivolity and fun in the picture. And the shot with your son is so wonderful. I can bet he knows he is loved. Just look at your smile to be with him!

Not many women can pull off that "muddy beauty;" but you do it so well! Love your dimples too! (second photo)

Mr. Daddy is blessed with a wife with stunning inner and outer beauty!

Hi again, Rachel, thanks for your comments, I did not know you were deaf. I am severely profoundly deaf. I can hear with a hearing aid in my right ear (nothing in my left) but in some situations it's not that great. I grew up oral and learned ASL as an adult. You were right though, the interpreter I am speaking of in that one post is for a ASL interpreter. The photography school I have applied to is a private school, so it doesn't get fundings from government to pay for interpreters or anything like that so I have found out that I can get a disability fund but first I have to apply for student loans (and be approved for that) so I am waiting for official acceptance to the school before I can do all of that.

Anyway thanks for popping by my blog. I can see why you call your little guy a miracle, and I'm so glad you have your miracle. I'll be by again to visit your blog.
