Pee-Pee Dido

Itty Bit spent yesterday morning with his Grandma.

He's pretty much potty-trained, but stays in diapers when he's hanging out with someone who might not get a chance to stick him on the potty every hour. Cuz, you know, 2-year olds are famous for their honesty when you ask them things like,

"Would you like to quit playing with Thomas the Train for a few minutes and go potty?"

So I notice when I come to pick him up, that his pants look awfully smooth and he felt a smidge skinnier when I hugged him and patted his cute little tush.

Then he started doing a funny little walk. That little cowboy thing... all the while tugging at the back waistband of his pants.

He had his back to me and was facing Grandma.
Suddenly I saw the shocked look on her face and she said, "OH NO!"

I ran to see a growing wetness spreading down the front of his pants.

As I maneuvered to lift him without getting soaked myself, he balanced himself on his left leg and began shaking his right leg.

We all stopped and just stared at him as he continued to shake his leg with more and more force.

Then suddenly, a half-undone diaper popped out the bottom of his pant leg and got wrapped around his foot.

While we adults rocked with laughter, he began hobbling around with the silly diaper stuck on his foot like some funky cast. This elicited even more shrieks and uncontrollable laughter.

The poor little thing didn't know what to think or do. When I unwrapped the completely dry diaper off his foot, he solemnly looked up and said, "Mommy, pee-pee dido on the foot!"

Ahh, if only I'd had a video camera, eh?

One for the baby book?
Sorry, couldn't resist. Waiting until Not Me Monday or True Story Tuesday was too far away ;)

That is just about the funniest "diaper" story I have ever heard!! LOL At first I thought he was going to say something like "Peeing like a dog" with the leg shaking going on, but he fooled me! LOL

Great story! I can see why you couldn't wait! We've definitely had a few diaper failures in our day.

Did you see the blog awards I gave to you & Mr. Daddy the other day? (A Little Bit of Everything post)

Have a great day!!

Awww, that is so funny! Bless his little heart. He tried to stay dry but sometimes it just sneaks up on them, lol. I couldn't help but laugh at the way you worded the story. Have a great weekend sweetie!

Y'all are just one, big, funny family. (Yeah, there is definitely something in the genes there.) Itty Bit's not even 3 yet and he's as funny as you 2 crazies!

Have a great weekend,

I totally thought a little poop was going to be coming down the leg. Thank goodness it was only the diaper.
Too funny.
Never a dull moment with you...but just the way I like it:) said...

Oh cute story. Definitely a true one when it comes to potty training too. At 2 W.W. certainly was not perfectly potty trained by any stretch of the imagination, and I swear it really wasn't until he was 3 that he started voluntarily going to the potty.
