I Heart Faces

Get your motor running
head out to the highway...

And check out iHeartFaces this week!

The theme is HATS.

My boys love hats. In fact, the coat closet has more hats than coats - which is saying something in the Northwest...

Here's Mr. Daddy with his ever-present hat. Here's what happens when you tell a self-professed redneck hunter to take his hat off for a picture:

Photobucket

His camo hat was actually kinda disappearing into the rock wall that he and his father built. This picture totally shows off his goofy side, as well as his attachment to his faithful beat-up hunting hat. (Umm, it looks faded and dirty to you? Trust me, I didn't process the hat at all!)

~

For the kid's entry... there was actually some debate over this one. I solicited advice and Mr. Daddy pulled rank on me. So, you know, out of respect to my elders, I let him pick this week (oh DEAR, did I just say that? ;)

Though I do think this is a rockin' shot of Itty Bit 's delight in trying on Papa's helmet. Just look at the sparkle in his eyes!
He was thrilled to be so close to that gleaming speed machine and I love how outsized it seemed next to the little guy (look at those tiny legs in the carburetor reflection!)

So show us your hats this week! What a fun theme!

Oh my. Mr. Daddy hasn't yet weighed in with HIS comments on YOUR comments. I shall have to return later for the scuffle that might likely ensue. You'd best watch out.. he might just trip you with his walker... (running for cover..)
I LOVE Itty Bit's shot.. it almost looks like a spacesuit helmet! Sort of a mini Buzz Lightyear (or Will Robinson...or even *gasp* . Tom Swift Jr.! Oh yes, Mr. Daddy, I speak your language...). And the picture of Mr. Daddy is hilarious! (and no walker in sight... where oh where did he hide it?). As always, Rach, I love your photos! And I'm over here trying to work up a post for tomorrow. I have a great story, if only I can remember it. *sigh*

Oh my goodness, Itty Bit is just adorable with that helmet on. His eyes are really shinning. So so cute, Rachel. Oh, and of course Mr. Daddy, you are looking mighty dapper yourself. Love the humor in the shot.

TWO posts in one day!!!

How are we supposed to keep up with you??

Were you just in the mood to CAP off the day blogging? Or, rather, TOP it off? And if you write a 3rd post, it would be called a HAT TRICK!

OK...Should I put a LID on the bad puns now???

I love the humor behind the post! I am amazed to learn there was no processing on your husband's hat...how does one get it to that color of brown? Tobacco juice? :) And I think you have a future motorcycle enthusiast on your hands in your son! He is enjoying that helmet, no doubt!
