Just thinking!! by Mr. Daddy

I read a post recently, that really got me thinking...

It was really well written, and one of those that comes straight from the author's heart...

And not only that it is from her heart, but pierces straight to the core of my own.

You can read it for yourself here (K from Floortime Lite Mama, found her on Slurping Life SOOC).

But brace yourself, I know that it will speak to you...

The lines that caught my attention were these.

"Worthiness is so difficult a thing to measure.

We use the term so callously !

What is s/he worth ? We say when we want to know how much money someone makes."

Or when we measure their worth to fulfill a role in life.

Truly who is worthy????

If I don't take the time to sit down and really think about it, by my actions I deem myself plenty worthy. The converse of that is (to my shame)I usually make judgments and conclusions that are rather harsh on others.

But as I reflected on it then, and through out the day, the realization came to me that my total net worth, will be a urn full of ashes, or a pine box full of dust and old dry bones. The only true value of my miserable existence, will be the results of the decisions and actions of my life. And in and of itself, there is no worth there to be tapped for good. Only by the grace of God and his faithfulness is there granted any true virtue in me.

The last line of her post, beat like thunder in my heart and flashed like lightning in my mind

"Surely every life capable of love is very worthy indeed."

Are not all we who were created by God capable of this love? And made worthy by his sacrifice?
And lest I become puffed up with pride at this revelation, he spoke to me with a still small voice...

I love everyone just as much as I love you Mr. Daddy

Somewhere there should be some stuff someone sells that will freeze them at a certain age. We should invent that...lol! I just look at Blaze and tear up and hug him tight. Of course, he wiggles till he gets loose because he has important stuff to do, like put all the clean laudry I folded in the floor or throw all of his toys everywhere. Childhood is hard work.!

Beautiful, Mr. Daddy. Really. And if you can get your hands on it, you need to get a book titled "Sidney and Norman". You can say that you're getting it for Itty Bit, but really, it will be for you and Rach, too. I actually used it in my women's class at church to do a lesson. Here's a link in case you want to check it out (I give it 5 stars and 2 thumbs up!):

Thanks again for revealing a piece of your heart to all of us. There aren't many men out there who are willing to do that. Rach and Itty Bit are mighty fortunate to have you around...

Thanks for sharing that post and your words on it, too. I have been thinking about that a lot recently, too. The last perfect person that walked on this Earth died about two thousand years ago, and even he had his moment in the desert. We have to remember to love freely and see worth in everyone. It's easier said than done, but we need to try.
