True Story Tuesday by Rachel

Hey y’all, ready for this week’s True Story Tuesday?

It’s a chance to give us the whole story of what exactly happened on that Not Me Monday. Or to share what seems too amazing/outrageous/miraculous to have happened in real life.

I know there’s a zillion great stories already written buried in your old posts… so it would be easy-peasy to just link up and share your stuff! So… please join along! Grab the button and share a link to your post about anything amazing, outrageous, hilarious, embarrassing, or miraculous, (and mostly-true) that has happened to you!

Short(ies) and Sweet

I had nothing for True Story Tuesday.

Umm, yeah. Remember it was STILL Mr. Daddy's turn? You can see how that went ;P

Sitting at my computer wondering what to write… already dressed for bed in an uncharacteristic itty bitty cutesie 2-piece. Kiddo asleep, almost 9pm, curtains are drawn.

Oh yeah.

KNOCK KNOCK

Oh wait… there was no knock, knock.

Just the sound of the sliding glass door opening.

Which is pretty much NOTHING to a deaf person.

Who is still sitting at her computer in her immodest little outfit wondering what to post for
True Story Tuesday.

Mr. Daddy jumps up from his own computer and heads toward the door.

His chair is in front of me, spinning with how fast he ejected.

I grab it and literally hide behind it.

Oh Mercy… they’re TALKING.

And talking.

And
taaaaaaalking.

I’m HIDING.
And hiding.
And
hiiiiiiiding.

Finally Mr. Daddy:

“Come on dad, let’s talk outside”.

~

Sooo… I know you can outdo this! Join along and share your outrageous/miraculous/amazing story! Just grab the top button and link up!

If you think of it, would you please say a prayer for me? I leave at 5:30am this morning to Ugly Friend’s final goodbye. They’ve already warned me about their “I Don’t Care” medicine, so maybe especially praying that I don’t say or do anything blogworthy while Mr. Daddy is overseeing my recovery? Thanks y’all!

Oh dear.. praying for a perfect "farewell" for your ugly friend... with NO side effects that could be used against you in any way! And, I think most of us can totally relate in the "what we wear to bed" situation; so glad Mr. Daddy screened things and finally got things "cleared out" for you!

My DH is looming over my shoulder and won't let me read this right now so I'm going to have to come back later and comment, but here is mine in the meantime if you want to check it out.

Tee Hee. Your father in law was probably thinking, "How did my old son get so lucky?" LOL Praying for your "Ugly" situation today. Will post mine later, have to be gone today, and I wasn't smart enough to schedule it last night, and should be getting ready instead of reading blogs! LOL

Oh Goodness, good thing Mr. Daddy caught him before Mr. Daddy's Daddy caught you in your itty bitty cutesie 2-piece. Ha Ha Ha

I think everybody can relate to this story. Unexpected visitors always seem to come over when you're in your nighty. Why is that?

Oh,my! This does remind me of a few late night visitors during our years of marriage. Never can find a robe when you need one, eh?

Yikes! If he didn't knock, did he just walk in? What is up with that? I hope the surgery went well, look forward to hearing about your recovery.

Um yeah. I think I would've crapped my pants if someone just came walking into my house, especially late at night! Yikes! Glad it was a harmless visitor!

I pray that it went well and you are all recovered from "ugly friend"'s demise!

I've been there before with the clothes thing. Growing up in the country you can usually have a few minutes to get decent when you see someone has driven up to the house. Well, in town people walk around and knock on your front door. Of course to go upstairs for more covering clothes I would have to walk PAST the front door. Doesn't work so well. ;)
