Coming soon

I am exhausted...
The whole meeting with the surgeon and talking about the anesthesiologist and getting my stitches out didn't go so well (I need some of you to come over and kick some serious butt for me).

The prosecuting attorney contacted me about a possible plea bargain for the hit-and-run driver. A victim impact statement... what do you say? What can change a life around and make someone realize that this second chance at life is a gift?

Work is insane, changes are needed. I detest being the squeaky wheel.

I am eleventy-four blog posts behind. I won a lovely giveaway, a few sweet awards, and have being trying to catch up on everyone else's.

I snapped at Mr. Daddy for leaving a peanutbutter covered knife in the sink instead of sticking it in the dishwasher. I'm not usually that snippy.

My friend Linny has a very sick husband and a little boy recovering from surgery. Her husband was just admitted to the hospital, and her son is in pain. All I can do is pray.

And in the middle of all these stressful things... one terrific bright spot:

I get to meet another blogger tomorrow!

I met Lynsay through Linny. When Linny's house burned down in January, Lynsay took up the cause to ask Extreme Home Makeover to rebuild it. I was touched by her dedication to do everything she could from all the way over in China.

Yeah, CHINA.

Taking care of babies, providing a mother's love to children who have a need for exactly that.

And I get to meet this chica tomorrow - and her two beautiful girls and husband. How exciting is that?!?!
Stay tuned for the recap. Lord only knows if I'll do something dorky enough for a True Story Tuesday ;)

~

And cuz no post is complete without a kiddo picture... I leave you with Itty Bit and Cutie Left. See... they're close in size, but pretty much only have the same nose (which are as cute as buttons in my non-biased opinion. Wait a minute... how cute is a button?)

(and yes, there's probably a whole post waiting to be written about meeting our grandson while waiting for our son to be born!)

That is so cool Rachel. I hope that you have a wonderful visit with them. I have met 7 bloggers already on my vacation. I will meet 3 more before july is over too. I am excited to meet such wonderful women that I would have never met if it weren't for the blog.

That's a lot going on. I was starting to feel the pressure of the blog calling, but sometimes you just need to wipe the slate clean and not worry about what you might have missed. I am trying to get around to some of my favorites, but I'm not sweating it! You shouldn't either!

Sorry to her that things are so crazy right now, I hate it when things get like that it just all starts to feel kinda out of control.

Have fun when you meet up with your bloggy friend, sounds like fun!

Oh and the picture of Itty Bitty and Cutie Left is very cute!

(((hugs))) Sounds like you need a break there, Rachel. Hope everything gets better, life gets easier and the sun shines brighter over there soon. You have a lot on your plate.

Wonderful shot of two happy little boys...they are both cute as buttons! Yes, buttons can be cute. ;)

Wow, from China! I'm so excited for you that you get to meet Lynsay and her family in person! That will definitely be a day brightener.

All the other stuff; not so good. I'm sorry your meeting didn't go well. That really bites. So disheartening.

But hey, it's Thursday. July 4th is upon us. What wild things do you guys have planned for the weekend? I know it will be full of fun and silliness!

Hi, hang in there, everything will be better soon.
By the way, is that in Tenino quarry park?? We were there couple weeks ago, and saw the quarry pools next door. What do you know about those pools? Have you swam in it before? I am so curious!
