What a perfect day to meet! It was bright and sunshiny, and a great playground was waiting for the blast zone that accompanies three little kids.
Both schedules were pretty tight, but we squeezed out two hours of fun with Bill & Lynsay and their beautiful girls.
When Sweetie M popped out of the car, she was literally the first on the scene to say howdy.
Seriously, how cute is this?
(I just spent a couple minutes looking at this picture again... am I the only one who thinks these kiddos actually kinda look alike? Look at those smiles and cute noses!)
Sweetie A took a bit to warm up, but when she did... let's just say I was smitten. (And Mr. Daddy had to listen to another round of whining for a little girl, LOL)
Within a few minutes, the kiddos were zipping down the slide side-by-side and climbing all over everything like little monkeys.
Even the grownups got in on the action. How fun is Lynsay??? Itty Bit sure thought so!
We had an unexpected guest... a deer who happened to wander over to check out the action. For reals? I had to laugh, thinking that couldn't happen very often in China!
We ushered the kids to the water where they enjoyed throwing rocks and catching glimpses of baby ducks.
For all the whining menfolk do about women talking, it was rather amusing to see Mr. Daddy and Bill in deep conversation at every turn... in between wrangling the kids.
I think we all hit it off pretty good (well, unless they're writing a blog post about how goofy they think we are, and how they couldn't wait to get away :)
I'm hoping they'll get a chance to meet up again next time they're in town. As we said goodbye, we laughed at how we were glad neither families turned out to be crazies.
Can anyone tell me how to edit in a tan for myself?
(yes Bill, that is your best side :)
