SOOC = straight out of camera

It's a good thing this isn't required to be wordless... cuz you know there's always a story, right?

Here's a shot of Itty Bit giving Kona a carrot. She is ultra gentle with the little ones and will willingly drop something before risking any contact with her chompers. Since this shot is Straight Out Of the Camera, you'll notice that I didn't edit out the lovely hot wire that Cassie had just torn up when we tried to separate the girls briefly. (Kinda tough for the farrier to work when Cassie is nosing around for treats :)

You might also notice that I didn't edit out the bag of junk food in Itty Bit's hand (bad mom, bad mom. Wait a minute... bad Mr. Daddy!)

Sooo... Kona enjoys every bit of her carrot. Itty Bit reaches into the bag (you know it's coming)... and holds out a Cheeto for her dining pleasure.

Our sweet trusting mare takes it carefully from his outstretched fingers as Itty Bit watches approvingly.

And if a horse can make a what.the.heck.did.you.just.give.me.are.you.crazy? face, she did. Bless her heart, she didn't take a step, but instead SPIT the Cheeto out (I kid you not, I about peed my pants), and hung her tongue out in disdain.

I had no idea how to address Itty Bit's confusion over the reception his gift received. But I promise, I didn't let Itty Bit claim the 5-second rule...

Oh Rachel, that is the sweetest picture but the story behind it makes it hilarious! Too funny. Who knew horses would hate cheetos? LOL
Now I know never to share them with a horse.
Too cute!

Very cute. I miss having horses, although it's been so long, I probably wouldn't know what to do with them.

Are you sure you didn't abide by the 5 second rule? I guess we'll all know for sure when we read your "Not Me Monday" ! : )

How Cute! I wish I could spit the Cheeto out but they are so good. If she only knew what she was missing out on! ;)

Oh,oh,oh... that is TOO funny! I miss having a horse so much... my last one LOVED peppermints and would nod up and down when I asked if he wanted one. I never offered him a Cheeto.. I wonder if he would have spit it out? And isn't that the way life is sometimes? Something appears to the right "shape", but when we try it, we find out it really isn't good at all!
As for fish picture tricks... you have to hold the fish out towards the camera while making sure your hands don't show; it adds a few pounds to the fish! But BH didn't do that in the catfish pic; it really WAS that big!

Thanks for visiting my blog. It is a lot of fun to watch the world through their eyes!

PS: Our purple sand came from WalMart -- we bought sand late last year and all they had left was a small bag of pink sand and one of blue. Together they filled the box and made purple. I think the sand was from Crayola.

Are you serious? She actually spit it out? I thought everyone loved Cheetos. Hmm. She must be watching her figure or something.
