Letters of Intent - by Mr. Daddy

Another Arrogant American

Dear Sir,

Just thought that I would drop you a line, and ask how all those hopey changie feelie things were working out for you???

I am quite certain that none of what I have seen come out of Washington D.C. lately has stirred anything but contempt and disdain for me lately...

What is up with canceling the day of prayer at the white house this year??? "O" yea I forgot. YOU don't think that we are a Christian nation anymore, and we sure wouldn't want to offend anybody in our own nation's capitol now would we????

So yea, go ahead and invite the Muslims to spread their little prayer towels on the north lawn on Sept 25, 2009 and bow their little hearts out, I'm sure no one in America will mind or be offended...

I'm not sure where the intelligence and integrity of the previous democratic presidents went. Men that stood up for what was right and good, men that said it like it was....

'One man with courage makes a majority.'
Andrew Jackson

'The only thing we have to fear is fear itself.'
Franklin D. Roosevelt

'The buck stops here.'
- Harry S. Truman

'Ask not what your country can do for you; ask what you can do for your country.'

- John F. Kennedy

Then comes the stupidity that we are so used to from Capitol Hill now

'It depends what your definition of 'Sex' is?''

-Bill Clinton

'That Obama - I would like to cut his NUTS off.'

-Jesse Jackson

'Those rumors are false .... I believe in the sanctity of marriage.'
-John Edwards

'I invented the Internet'

-Al Gore

'The next Person that tells me I'm not religious,I'm going to shove my rosary beads up their ASS.'

-Joe Biden

' America is--is no longer, uh, what it--it, uh, could be, uh, what it was once was....uh, and I say to myself, 'uh, I don't want that future, uh, uh for my children.'

-Barack Obama

'I have campaigned in all 57 states.

-Barack Obama (Quoted 2008)

'You don't need God anymore, you have us Democrats.'

-Nancy Pelosi (Quoted 2006)

'Paying taxes is voluntary.'

-Sen. Harry Reid

'Bill is the greatest husband and father I know. No one is more faithful, true, and honest than he.'

-Hillary Clinton (Quoted 1998)
(I think maybe she didn't know Bill's definition of sex either)

But you got to hand it to the Duke, he really says it like it is...

''Life's tough ........ it's even tougher if you're stupid.'' -- John Wayne

(you just gotta love the Duke)!!!!

So you see Mr. President I am not totally sure of the arrogance of the American people that you spoke of to the European Nations.

It is one thing to be arrogant but totally another to be ignorant, and that is ignorant of the pride that it is to be an American, a Patriot, a flag-waving, stand-at-attention-with-your-hand-over-your-heart-or-saluting American when the national anthem is being played, or feeling the reverence and pride while reciting the Pledge of Allegiance.

I guess maybe you missed that lesson in Kenya, and while attending school in Indonesia... Cause I'm thinking that if you would have spent any time at all in Hawaii, you would know what it is to be proud to be an American… Why not declassify all those records? I mean hey what is there to hide, really???
And your health care bill? I’m sorry but I don’t have enough years in college to buy into the stupidity that is being foisted on the American public with that piece of crap bill.

And that Bad Boy Joe Wilson, the nerve of the cad to call you a liar. Well at least about that issue you didn’t have to hedge on the truth, did you? You want to give amnesty to and legalize all 2 million or so illegal aliens, so there will not really be a need to give any money from the bill to them.

How clever of you liberals to even put language in the bill. Section 246 of that bill, titled “NO FEDRAL PAYMENT FOR UNDOCUMENTED ALEINS” states nothing in this subtitle shall allow Federal payments for affordability credits on behalf of individuals who are not lawfully present in the United States..

Your own quote to the congress states: ““There are also those who claim that our reform effort will insure illegal immigrants. This, too, is false – the reforms I’m proposing would not apply to those who are here illegally.”

I guess my question would be how long after you push through this piece of crap legislation will it take to legalize all these illegal people???

I remember President Reagan stating a speech one time..” Now back in 1927 an American socialist, Norman Thomas, six times candidate for president on the Socialist Party ticket, said the American people would never vote for socialism. But he said under the name of liberalism the American people will adopt every fragment of the socialist program.

Seems as if he was quite a visionary….

James Madison clear back in 1788, speaking to the Virginia Convention said: “Since the general civilization of mankind, I believe there are more instances of the abridgment of the freedom of the people by gradual and silent encroachment of those in power, than by violent and sudden usurpations.”

I think in conclusion dear sir that you should really start listening to the voice of the people, and learn to be a little more patriotic and take a lot more pride in being an American..

Have a nice day.

Just another Arrogant American

Wow. When are "they" gonna come knock on your door and make you "disappear." I'm pleading the 5th on this one out of pure fear. (Although I think you know my political affiliation.)

Oh, and remind me to never piss you off. 'Cause you scare me!

Fantastic entry into my link this week! Thanks!

Well, you have managed to turn a very sweet blog into another right-wing nut-job rant. After reading this, I will never check your blog again and will also take down the link I posted on mine. This rant contained all of the foolish lies that have been spouted over and over again to the point of making yourself sound like an idiot. Including the one about the birth certificate. Don't you folks realize how stupid this all makes you you look? I used to despise people like you but now I just feel sorry for you. I also feel sorry for your adorable little boy because he is going to filled with all this hatred. Good day sir.

Foursons said...

Wow- is Don being sarcastic or serious?

Don Newbury said...

For the record - I'm as serious as a heart attack.

Don Newbury said...

Rachel - At the risk of sounding like a screaming liberal - of which I'm not - I really get ticked off when I see rants like this, because they just recycle all of the old arguments that are not based in fact. I honestly believe that people should question all authority, especially the government, but please, please investigate the facts before you do so. I have been guilty of it myself and I have done all that I can to correct it. The thing about the birth certificate especially proves my point. How much more proof do you need? To me it's like the liberals who believe the government caused 9-11. Get the facts, that's all I ask. I'm sorry if I sounded like a hate-filled moron but these things just drive me crazy and quite frankly, it makes me scared for our future. Just get the facts and then make a rational argument.

Rachel said...

While I can appreciate someone having a different point of view... what I took exception to was the claim that my husband was essentially publishing lies and not researching his claims.

You see a very small part of us on this blog - and yes, it is usually a sweet blog. Mr. Daddy happens to be a rather cerebral type who DOES do meticulous research before he puts his opinions to pen.

So that's where we differ, friend... I am sorry that you do not know my husband as I do, to understand that he is far from a right-wing nut and is a gentle and thorough man who has some concerns.

And just for the record, our son has not and is not being raised in a hate-filled environment. Which I hope you can see from the rest of our blog.

I respectfully disagree.

MrsMann said...

Why do people feel the need to comment so negatively on other peoples blogs? If you don't like what someone else has written, then leave... and don't come back if you feel that strong. But making a scene out of it will do no good.

Itty-Bit's blessed to have such amazing parents! No doubt!

Brandi said...

:P *raspberry* at Don. YOU GUYS ROCK!

P.S. AND I could tell Mr. Daddy did his research, AND there is no way that anyone could read this blog and not fully believe that Itty is raised in nothing less than a loving, fun as heck, Christian environment.

Love this letter. I believe that the Preident has adopted a policy of only opening his mouth to exchange feet.

Great list of quotes, dude!

Well, you know I agree with you...great post!

Why is it that if you are not all Raa-Raa-Obama!! you are hate-filled?? I'm not racist...if he were an old white man (Biden??) I would have the exact same opinion. I didn't agree with Hilary either and she's a woman.

Just because something is not reported by the main stream media, doesn't mean it isn't true. They aren't exactly impartial and unbiased. My Dad and my aunt had some disagreements over politics and he told her to listen to Fox News for a week. She changed party affiliations after that.

It's frustrating, but we just have to keep speaking out about our opinions on what is happening in the U.S.

I found your letter through Fourson's and I am so glad I did. I wish everyone could read your quotes. I think it would be wonderful if you would send this letter to every editorial column in America. Then watch and see which newspapers and magazines print it. My hope is that the American citizens are waking up.

danette said...

Well said!

for the record, I think Don's comments are out of line. It's one thing to respectfully disagree, but it's hardly respectful to claim that someone's home is a "hateful" environment to raise a child simply because they disagree with your politics.

no day of prayer, but the White House Ramadan dinner was delish.

Talk about extremist...the negative person on this comment should calm himself and move on to liberal blogs that spout his politics.

And to dare insult your parenting...shame on him!

Well I was all CHEERLEADER here for Mr Daddy, and then I read the hate-filled comment and want to go all JACKIE CHAN on someone's arse. And I say arse only out of respect for Rachel.

WOW. Totally uncalled for and I would expect a written letter of apology from someone. If you don't agree with someone on THEIR BLOG (emphasis on THEIR BLOG), just respectfully DON'T READ. (emphasis on DON'T READ)

I am not all RAA-RAA for our President either, I'm actually scared to death having him there and if that makes me a hate-monger, take me away. With the new policies he has put into place, I could blow up our own country and get better treatment IN prison then OUT.

(They're coming for me, aren't they? LOL)

One little bit of advice for Don: Don't knock a woman's husband she dearly loves, and NEVER EVER EVER bring in their child into the argument. That will get you chopped off at the knees real fast. Stupid. Stupid, stupid move. Really bad. I'm glad I don't know you personally because I would not have been so nice as Rachel and Mr Daddy. I honestly commend THEM for their behavior to your nastiness.

Get you some Jesus there, Don. You need some love.

OMGosh!!! Are you freaking kidding me?!?! Don is crazy!!! Mr Daddy I think you very respectfully stated the facts that I wish the rest of this country would see!!!! I'm so sick of all of the drama that ensues if you so much as frown at our non beloved President!!!

As far as Don bringing your son into his comment, he is the one using a child to better his agenda and came out TOTALLY wrong on that one!!

As a nation, a Christian founded and based Nation we should be keeping God in EVERYTHING we do!! If everyone did that then we wouldn't be in the mess this Country's in!!

Kudos to you Mr Daddy and Rachel!!

Got to love liberals. They are all for being "tolerant" as long as being "tolerant" and having free speech means saying something great about them and their views.

Lisa said...

Okay, somehow I missed all this. Who on earth does this Don person think he is, anyway? I happen to agree with Mr. Daddy wholeheartedly, but even if I didn't, I wouldn't say a word, just go on to the next blog. And the mention of Itty Bit SENT ME THROUGH THE ROOF. You handled it much nicer than I would have, Rachel! That's all I have to say about that! I agree with everyone. Just because I am not on the Obama band wagon DOES NOT mean I am nuts. Actually, I think it is quite the opposite.

Lynsay said...

Just so you you guys! And it seems strange that he is criticizing Mr. Daddy's "ranting" when he is quite clearly on a rant. What does that word mean exactly anyway!

Trust me, anyone who thinks America's politics are going in the right direction, should try living in a communist country for awhile, might change them. (I'm not saying America, OR OBAMA, are communist, I'm just saying, we should be very thankful that many wise people before us have protected our freedom so much.

I haven't forgotten about your letter, I want to respond, but my brain isn't working and my internet sucked your letter from my inbox, so I don't even know where it is! Hugs!

I really hope you printed this letter, put a stamp on it and mailed it to 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. And maybe to a few newspapers. I wholeheartedly agree and I think that the majority of Americans do to!
