Letter of Intent

Hey Airhead -

When you decide you can't wait 1.2 seconds longer to safely merge into traffic, gun it across two lanes to realize you're going to smash into someone who is braking, consequently swerve all over the place and cause an accident, snarl pre-Christmas traffic in a busy area, then bawl to a police officer that it was all your fault...

THEN IT IS STILL ALL YOUR FAULT.

Even after you talk to your insurance company who now wants to sue everybody else.

Do you even realize what Christmas would have been like for my little boy if his daddy had not come home that day?  Or for his wife who loves him very much?

Seriously - quit changing your story, tell your insurance company the same truth you told the police officer, and cough up the increased monthly policy fee... because guess what dear?  You ARE a dangerous driver.

Sincerely,

A ticked off wife and mom
(who is hugging her Mr. Daddy)

~

(ahem)

Sorry for the venting.  But that's what Letters of Intent are for right?  Thanks Julie... now y'all head over for some more!

Oh my gosh- drivers like that ought to have their license removed for a time. What a flippin' idiot. And then to go and try to take back what you've already admitted to? *sigh* I'm glad Mr. Daddy is OK. Those car accidents seem to be drawn to you guys. Stay safe out there!

Thanks for linking up, I hope it helped!

My job is to sue those idiots like that and when that happens my favorite thing to do is pull out the Crash Report and re-read their statement to the responding officer. It's amazing what one little sheet of paper will do when sent to an attorney who is just going by what their client says. My LOI today has to do with client that is driving me crazy. It's clients like this one that make Tort Reform so popular.

Luckily since she admitted fault to the police officer, the insurance company doesn't really have a case against anyone else!

Oh lordy, what is wrong with people! Her and her insurance company have nothing to prove she was innocent. Good luck!!!

I can't stand people like that! People need to learn how to drive!

Try having your son hit by a car owned by a personal injury attorney. No tickets issued - ruled no fault accident. The nanny who was driving the car wrote her statement out in TURKISH, which no one can translate and now the owner of the car wants ME to pay for damages caused when HIS nanny hit my son and put him in the hospital. Well, guess what? Ain't happening.

What a piece of work! I'm glad Mr. Daddy and Itty Bit were okay. Things like that are just so scary!

That is not OK. I can't stand crazy drivers. Makes me insane. Glad Mr. Daddy was protected!

Man. First your wreck, and now Mr. Daddy's; I'm praying that THIS woman will be touched by the truth in your hearts just as the other one was. Maybe God is using you again; I just wish He'd be a little more gentle. But, as they say about Aslan in The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe".. of course He's dangerous, but He's also good.
SO glad that you have her confession to the police; hoping that a good accident investigator also took notes. If she hit Mr. D from behind, she really won't have a prayer even IF she didn't already give an incriminating statement. "Following too closely" will bite you in the butt every time...

Wow! That really stinks.

Good drivers seem be getting fewer and farther between lately. What's the rush anyway? People are a little too busy thinking of themselves and not those around them most often than not.

Wow, you guys need to drive a tank. ;) Glad Mr. Daddy is ok.

PS. Round-a-bouts are STUPID. We have 2 of them in a neighboring town and I avoid them at all costs. Yep. I'd hit someone 'cause the concept of a round-a-bout is too hard for me to grasp, so I just stay away.

I hate people like that. They should be thankful they are alive and didn't (hopefully) injur or kill anyone, let alone try to sue them. I was hit by a judge's son, (of course I didn't know it) and the police gave me a paper to sign at the hospital and told me "If you want them to treat you, sign here, even if it is an X." I thought it was because I had no medical insurance or something. I had never been involved in an accident and was terrible tore up, etc, so I unknowingly signed a FULL CONFESSION OF GUILT while lying on a stretcher. I will have to TST the full story some time, only it isn't a funny one. Life sucks like that sometimes. But I don't think with her confession to the officer, etc, she will have a leg to stand on, and will have a much higher insurance bill next time.

The freakin' nerve of some people! Cars and the idiots that drive them scare me to death. My Mom calls me the "carseat nazi"

Oh...I hate reckless drivers, much less the ones who won't admit they were acting like morons. It's my pet peeve. I'm glad your husband is okay, that's the main thing.

I absolutely loathe driving anymore. Thank goodness my hubby doesn't mind being my driver, but when I do have to drive I try to avoid the freeway all together. My car was hit once while I was on the freeway where there was construction and the traffic had come to a complete halt. Thanks to the dim wit who came up behind me and didn't seem to notice that she slammed into me going 55 mph. That was almost 15 years ago and I still am mad about it!

YIPES!!! I am so glad you are all safe, I hate it when drivers pull that nonsense, my son and I almost got smashed by a semi on I-5 once, and I still cant believe we made it! I love your banner pic of your sweet boy, and saw that you won that "wonder" contest, a little late but congrats!!!!!

Her insurance company can't have much of a case, since she admitted to the ploice that it was her fault -- but still, I'd be incredibly upset about what she's trying to pull!

So glad Mr. Daddy's safe -- that must have been incredibly scary for him, and for you when you think of the "could-have-beens."

I'd like to carry a little gun that shoots out the tires of idiot drivers ....

I also wanted to encourage you ... if you get the opportunity to meet some of your bloggy friends, TAKE IT! I've flown from Calgary to St. Louis 1x and Calgary to San Antonio 2x since 2006 - THE BEST times I've had in my life hands down. As soon as I was on the plane the 1st time - it hit me - I WAS F-ing NUTS! Leaving my kid for 5 days, spending that much money to meet complete strangers 1800 miles away from home?! But they showed me a fantastic time and have become some of my very best friends. I bust my ass saving, prioritizing, prepping, and packing for that trip each year, and it's worth everything. Gives me something to look forward to all year that has nothing to do with men, kids, work, the house, family ... it's ALL ABOUT ME!! And god knows, every mother deserves a little something like that!

Oh my goodness! I hate driving-just because I feel like I'm constantly going to get hit by moron drivers! I'm so relieved that your husband is okay!

oh my gosh! I am glad everything was OK with Mr. Daddy!!! That is so scary.

It is getting to the point where I see incidents like this almost daily...seriously (Not the accident, but the horrible aggressive driving)

Well, I just caught up on your blog...you two make me laugh and smile, you warm my heart, your little boy makes me giggle and melt. I adore you two. When I have to be away from my blog, I miss you tons :)

Thanks for being great bloggy friends. Looking forward to meeting in real life on day :)

Do you know what I love? Sweet karma. That's when the idiot who just passed you on a "no passing" lane and a cop pulls her/him over.

Love it.

But rare.
