Rachael Ray in my kitchen!

Golly y’all, here’s another bloggy milestone…

My very first review!

I cannot tell you how excited I was to get the letter from CSN Stores, offering an item to try out and write my two cents on.  Well, okay… maybe I already told you how excited I was here, but trust me, it’s even more exciting getting REAL mail!

So what did I pick out?

Oh my gosh y’all!  You know how I manage to hurt myself in every stupid way possible…

check out these easy handles, made for people like me who drop things constantly!

If you’ve been around our blog for awhile, you’ll know I have a thing for Granny Smith Green.  Because it is just the most delicious and fresh color… Mr. Daddy put his foot down on painting the barn this color though… *sigh*

Anyway… I chose the large 4.25 quart stoneware casserole dish.  Perfect for someone who wants the one-stop-shopping of cooking, serving, and refrigerating items all in the same dish.

Did this sweet puppy ever deliver!

Head on over to me taking it out of the oven.

Don’t I look happy?  With my mismatched oven gloves and all?  In a creepy kind of way?  Sorry…

Oh wait… this stoneware stuff seriously holds its heat.

Ouch Ouch Ouch!

(Umm… thanks Honey for taking these extremely *ahem* candid pictures)

Anyway.  Good stuff on our table.  The food was perfectly messy, but the dish cooked it super moist!

First off… you’ll love how the sides come up so stuff doesn’t bubble over.  In our case it was cheese and enchilada sauce.  It was a valiant battle, but the Granny Apple won.

I’m all about easy (no comments Mr. Daddy), so popping that lid right back on during clean up meant no more messy transfers to the leftovers containers.

And check it out… this puppy is on sale and ships free to your door right now :)

The only tradeoff I could see was that the deeper dish meant I had to lower the baking rack.  But it was totally worth it to me to avoid the burns, get a good handle on it, and have no spillover mess to clean up (yuck!)

~

Now… on to the part that is actually a wee bit more important.  This is more of a review of CSN Stores than just the product they sent.  Because you can pick up a Rachael Ray casserole at a number of places, but price and service are what help make the choice, right?

So I put in my order…. and they sent an immediate confirming receipt (for my favorite amount:  FREE!)  My communications with the promotions guy were quick and he answered every question I had.  Then they sent a shipping confirmation with a tracking number.

Get this (and this is big for me), I may or may not have SQUEALED when the box arrived early and I pronounced it as my birthday present :)

Bottom line:  competitive prices, quick shipping, great service, and a terrific product!  Go forth and shop!

~

Disclaimer thingy:  Yes, CSN was super nice and gave me this lovely product for free.  My opinions are my own and if the product sucked, I would have written a lovely Letter of Intent to them.  I heart you CSN!

I love that green color too! I'll be checking out the CSN site cuz I'm working on stocking my kitchen with Paula Deen cranberry/red stuff and while I'll rarely use it cuz I don't cook what I recently bought sure looks pretty! LOL

What a cool dish! How did you get them to let you review their sight? I want a free something!

Hey! You know, that fabric would look super with your new RR cooker right? I tell you what, you tell me exactly what you want, how many and what size pillow covers and I will make sure there is enough materials to make them. I could definitely use both of those to coordinate and make a set for you. It would be super cute too. You have dibs!!
