a tribute to my Friend

Dear World,

Three score and Four years ago, a force was brought forth to this continent.

A force filled with vibrant energy and dominant will, convinced in her ability to lead the masses into a new and bright future...

Yes, those that know her well have witnessed her wrath, they have also witnessed and been the beneficiary of her gentle grace and beautiful nature...

Life conspired to take her hearing,

but I have met no other who hears and understands my heart better than she does. Or makes more of an effort to understand life at her own expense....

What the compass or GPS is to a lost man, she is to my spirit and soul... A marker to my true North and the ability to navigate through life...

As a mother there is no better, Itty Bit hit the jackpot, when God chose her womb as the repository for his being. And as the guide to show him love and understanding through life...

As a Wife and friend, where do I begin?

The song by Alison Krauss almost captures it in words..

The Smile on your face.

It's amazing how you can speak right to my heart
Without saying a word you can light up the dark
Try as I may I could never explain
What I hear when you don't say a thing

The smile on your face
Lets me know that you need me
There's a truth in your eyes
Saying you'll never leave me
The touch of your hand
Says you'll catch me where ever I fall
You say it best
When you say nothing at all

All day long I can hear people talking aloud
But when you hold me near
you drown out the crowd
Old Mr. Webster could never define
What's been said between your heart and mine

The smile on your face
Lets me know that you need me
There's a truth in your eyes
Saying you'll never leave me
The touch of your hand
Says you'll catch me if ever I fall
You say it best
When you say nothing at all

Happy Birthday Babe......Love that smile on your face :o)

Together we can rule the world...

And Mr. Daddy...this has to be the first time that something you've written has brought tears to my eyes. Well, that's a lie, I've cried from laughter at previous posts, but this was the first one that had me saying "awwwwww...." and sniffling as I read.

OK, another thing to be thankful for - not being able to access blogspot from the hospital because as emotional as I was, they would have had to scoop me off the floor after reading this sweet post. Happy Birthday my friend and thank you for your kind emails this weekend. I read them to my family and they were amazed at how kind and caring my "bliends" (blog friends) are. Hugs to you and Mr. Daddy!
