Yesterday’s post… this picture:
was the Straight-Out-Of-the-Camera shot at spot in Seattle where they’ve glassed in an amazing view.
This was Mr. Daddy telling Itty Bit about the things he was seeing from that high—up vantage point.
Here’s the previous shot that was blown out… I lost the sky, but Itty Bit’s expression is so clear.
He was intently listening to the man that he has no reason to believe doesn’t know everything in the world.
And if there is one silver lining to this deafness of mine… it is in the sweetness of our little boy’s trusting touch.
When you have his undivided attention, and he seeks yours in return - you will often find his hands on your face.
Is there a truer communication than to convey: “you are the most important thing right now”?
(And yes, when he did it to Julie later, I apologized but knew how much he liked her to do it…)
I am so grateful for these boys of mine. What are you grateful for today?

There could not be a thing to be more grateful for than our God. I can think of nothing more precious than my husband and son and I know you feel the same way. i love the touch on the face. That is priceless. I love when Blaze is listening to me and he reaches up and strokes my hair. So sweet and honest and open. I hope he always stays this way. Well, minus the 2 year old tantrums lol.
Wow - this is really a great picture! Don't you just love the look on his face, that "I trust you with everything in the world" look, it's just priceless!
This is a beautiful picture!
What am I grateful for... People that love me, good health...
I have a question, maybe kind personal, so if you don't want to answer that's fine, but I'm just curious about your hearing. Do you lip read, or ASL all the time? Like in the story about the Jehovah's ladies (which was hilarious btw) you obviously had a conversation without ASL... My dad is severely hard of hearing, kinda why I'm asking...
I love this post. What a sweet relationship your hubs and son have. Adorable and i know that it melts your heart. Love the hand under the chin. PRECIOUS!
That brings tears to my eyes, especially the part about him touching your face. So sweet.
Oh that is so sweet. I'm all teary now.
What a wonderful captured moment! Who could notice the sky?
Beautiful shots, truly. I love that he touches your face to get your attention, too. Very sweet. :)
I love both pictures. It is the sweetest thing when they listen so intently.
What a sweet post. :) Nice shots, I like Itty Bitty's expression too. And I know where that view is. LOL
Great pic, Rach!
::tears:: So very sweet!
I'm grateful for my boys -- my little guy & my husband. And I'm grateful for moments like this one here...for sharing moments like these with my son, and for witnessing moments like these between my husband & child.
