Wrinkles and a Winner

I’m a cheapskate.  A busy cheapskate.

I subscribe to exactly one magazine and it’s only because it came free with a purchase.

And as I perused this magazine, there was an article about wrinkles.  Which I actually just kinda skimmed over because  hello… have you SEEN my mother?

I am essentially her one-and-a-half-inch-taller clone (and YES, half inches are supremely important to us Fun Size people).  No one believes she’s my mom.  I’m not going to out her age on my blog, but she is royally kicking butt in this “getting older” thing.

Oh waitaminute… I have a personality shot from the same day.  This is the REAL Mommio:

Anyway, one of the ways it says to avoid wrinkles is to SLEEP ON YOUR BACK.  Mr. Wrinkle Expert claims he can tell which side you sleep on because the wrinkles will be more obvious.  (Wish I were kidding…  see here)

Anyone else who cannot sleep on their back?  Not even while pregnant… I am a diehard side sleeper (who must be touching Mr. Daddy with at least one cold foot at all times, sorry Dear).

So I guess there is no hope for me.  But do you think it’s really going to matter by the time I get this stage?

Meh, it isn’t worth worrying about.  I mean, I can’t avoid laugh lines if I keep visiting your blogs y’all!

And onto the part that everyone is really here for, the winner of the $45 CSN Stores giveaway!

If your mom is any indication, I think you could probably sleep directly on your face and still not end up with any wrinkles. ;)

My mom is 58 and wrinkle-less... she could easily pass for 45 (and her mom is 79 and looks 65, if a day). Good genes! :D Me on the other hand? The kids are going to beat me down, suck the youth right out of me, and I'm going to look like an old hag.

good genes are much more important than how you sleep!!! since I am a side-sleeper and almost 50 (yikes!) that is my story and I am sticking to it!!!

I am SO excited to win your giveaway!! Thank you so much!!!

I think you and your mom should bottle up that fountain of youth and become the richest people in the entire world. That way you can afford to travel anywhere you like and have your friends join you.

WEll I have always thought you looked so young and wondered about what secret potion you used.. now I know it is not only genetic but familial....Lucky you! I, too, am a side sleeper...but that is because 5 ruptured disc make all my appendages fall asleep if I attempt to sleep on my back LOL

I used to be a back sleeper, until I had kids and the ladies dont exactly stay put like they used to, if you know what I mean... ;)

Now, it is on my side or, recently, on my stomach. And my blender-less kitchen is very sad that I didnt win, but happy for Sara. Yeah for appliances!

Your mom looks awesome! She must sleep on her back all the time! ;p

Take heart; somebody once told me that women all take after their moms. So if that is true, you will look just as fab when you reach her age.

Oh wow, speaking of genetics, you can totally see the family resemblance between your mom and the picture of your son up top!!

I would say good genes trumps the sleep position...I will get back to you in about 15 years. At my age, I still have no wrinkles and I sleep...well all over the place actually, but tummy or side mostly.

Congrats Sara!!!!

I'm a side sleeper too, but every once in a while, I have to sleep on my back because my neck and/or shoulders will be bugging me.

Your mom is beautiful. And I think I have more wrinkles than she does!

You know I thought I was getting off with all this no wrinkles thing until I turned around 36. Then I started noticing the little devils. Now their friends are starting to arrive. This is probably due to all the years of not wearing sunscreen while riding horses growing up. I had a really nice tan...now I feel I will be paying for it. :(

Your mom is beautiful...just as you are!

When I sleep on my back, I snore! Guess I'll have to live with the risks, lol!
