How to drive your husband batty: Project #592

If I were more with it, I would have put together a simple post with lots of lovely links. But it's not my fault.

I went over to look at Shutterfly's new Christmas card designs... and the place

For approximately 314 hours over a period of four days.

(Yeah, math never was my strong suit).

So last year, I used Shutterfly’s photo cards to make a set for my sister’s sweet family.

Christmas Cards

I love how you can customize everything and it’s easy to upload pictures to share or use for gifts.

Is it bad that I messed with last year’s family pictures from Cari Berry because I was *ahem* a few pounds lighter?  Well, short hair makes my face look chubby.  I’m sticking with that.

(God bless you Cari, for not making fun of me when I asked permission to use them.  I am still convinced you are a nominee for sainthood considering that you had to do some law-breaking to get those photos ;)

So how did I annoy my husband?  This chick spent late nights glued to her computer trying to find the best possible combination of pictures/words/colors/fonts/layouts/editing and salutations.  OY.

But that apparently wasn’t the most annoying part for Mr. Just Send A Picture of The Deer I Shot.

The fact that I had created 72 saved drafts of potential cards and (horror of horrors) asked him to pick his favorite… well, that was apparently asking too much.  He knocked it down to two, and then *I* couldn’t decide.

So I’m blaming Shutterfly for this Christmas card impasse.  You just have too many uber cute selections.

And here’s a special message from Shutterfly:

Bloggers get 50 free holiday cards from Shutterfly, go here!

(They have frequent sales, but what could be better than FREE?!?)

See y’all over there… after I take a nap.

Oh wait!  It’s SNOWING!  Hmm… I wonder how those “White Christmas” cards would look…?

So, if I go over to shutterfly and pick out some cards, do I have to put pictures of humans on them or can I just go for the Estes look?

I love your pictures from last year. That was such a great photo shoot despite the illegal acts.

I don't do Christmas cards and every year I am thankful that I don't. :)

Snow!? Brrr...we're sitting outside in short-sleeves! :) I'm laughing b/c I wouldn't even consider asking my hubs to pick out a card. In fact, he probably doesn't even know we send one out every year! LOL!

Oh, I completely understand. Chris says, JUST PICK ONE. Yeah. If it was that easy don't you think I would have went that route? I mean really. I love the second it. By the way, just read your email and I will write you back tonight since 90 mph boy just woke up after a 20 minute nap. Oy indeed.

You have the most adorable family! My husband would just tell me to anything I pick will be fine. He stays out of that kind of decision making.

What annoys him is when we're having our picture taken and I keep saying just one a hundred times.

Drives him absolutely nuts!

I would go over to Shutterfly now, but I have errands to run and I know that I'd be totally sucked in and not leave the site until a FEW hours later!

I was just messing with Christmas cards last night. I typically make my own, but I found some free templates online where you just plug your picture in and change the wording a little and I may go with that. Jdaddy doesn't have much say. ;-)

Love the look of your cards! Homemade ones are so much nicer!

What a great deal! Unfortunately, I have already made, ordered, written out the addresses, stamped and have the cards ready to go in the mail. Yeah...I'm pretty darn proud of that!

Good luck with picking out a winner. The card will be great! Love the pictures of your beautiful family. :)

Is this a vote? If so I like #2! Man, now you're going to make me go on there and check it out! She-devil! lol

Don't get me started!!! I was over on tinyprints and sort of copied a design over there on my own, and then I found shutterfly. And I got way too many ideas!! I'm going with the story card idea and gave Chad only TWO choices... and he still had a hard time.

Love the layout of that last one you posted!
