On being pummeled

We started with a wild storm – winds that thrashed hundred year oaks and flung garbage cans with abandon.

Flags shredding, trees downing atop power lines, transformers blowing in fantastic sparks.

Waking up to glorious electricity and blue skies.

Evidence of destruction everywhere.

A long detour around aforementioned downed power lines.

Arriving at work for a semblance of normalcy.

Thirty minutes later, a terrific jolt that lifts my desk.

Silly boys, always messing with the deaf chick.

You’re kidding?

Of course.  After a beatdown by a windstorm, an earthquake would be the perfect finale.

We had tornadoes and you get earthquakes. What is up with this fall? Is it not really weird? I am glad you guys are ok and that your power is back on. I know when we had those storms our was off all day long. I was done lol.

Bill's comment made me choke and giggle and guffaw so loudly that Mr. Daddy checked on me from the other room.

You are a hoot and a holler Bill. I 'm almost afraid to hook you and Mr. Daddy up next year...

Soooooo y'all think maybe its time to relocate, like EAST, before y'all fall off into the ocean? ;)

Bill's comment had me spit coffee through my nose. Helluva way to clear out my sinuses!! HA~

Hahaha. Bill's comment was hilarious.

Wow! An earthquake? I'm so glad I'm in Michigan and don't have to deal with those (knock on wood).

Wow. I have never been through an earthquake...except that ride at Universal that simulates one. How scary!

No way! I thought earthquakes only happened in CA. I know you're close to CA, but not THAT close. Wow. So everyone made it out OK?

I've never been in an earthquake either...glad you guys are ok. Glad there wasn't a tree on your house this morning either. :)

Moving to Texas is always an option, sure we have hurricanes, but you can RUN from a hurricane. just sayin

May I just remind you all that CO has neither freak windstorms of doom nor earthquakes? Just sayin... ;)

But, seriously, I am SO glad you guys are ok. What a freaky week!

LOL! You cracked me up, "Silly boys, always messing with the deaf chick." LOL. I didn't feel it way up here, but everyone I know down south sure did! :)

Just wait... it'll be snow soon enough!

Seriously!? Holy moly. I hope there's not a volcano or anything near by!

Glad it was a little quake. I have to say that WA has had more of them then I thought. I remember the one that happened when I lived there and opened up 1st Avenue. Kinda scary. Hope the horses are ok. :)

No way! I guess that is just God's way of telling you to move to Georgia. :<D Seriously, that's pretty darn scary; are they predicting aftershocks? Praying right now for God to continue to cover you and keep you safe...

We had an earthquake in Colorado a million years ago when I was in 7th grade and it freaked me out. I mean, an earthquake in Colorado?!

Bet you were kind of thinking the same thing this morning :)

Bill sang your cowboy song for you today...I told him to sing it again so I could video it to send it to you. He said wouldn't do it. But we did think of you out on our ride today.
