Wordful Wednesday - Stormin'

Like every other blogger in the Northwest who is getting hammered by this potent combination of windstorm, earthquake, and blizzard, I figured it would be fun to see how we make the best of it.

Cuz snow is still special around here… until it freezes!

Hmm… what should I do first?

Enlist Cousin C to build a snowman?

with a mohawk?

Yell at the neighbor’s dog for eating the snowman’s left arm?

Work on plowing the yard for Daddy?

Call Kona over for a hello?

Check out the neighbor kitty who is not too sure about the white stuff?

Hop on my Strider bike  to show off in the snow?

Uh-oh, it’s really coming down.

Tease Mommy because she doesn’t have any snowboots?

Go chill with Cousin Bubba for a bit?

You know.  The one who can’t stop thinking about tasting snow?

Who am I kidding?  The one who can’t stop EATING the snow…

Don’t tell Bubba, but Mommy was so sad seeing his hands freezing, that she went inside and got him some special “mittens”.  That didn’t stop her from laughing every time he stuck one in his mouth.

Brain freeze!  Brain freeze!

Lay the bike down and scoop up some snow…

Momma?  What are snowballs for?

Is it kinda like baseball?

Hmm, I bet it is.

Momma?  Why are you running?

I love your picture story!! You always tell the best stories with pictures. Doesn't hurt that you have one of the most expressive little boys ever! That devilish look gets me every time. So stinkin' cute but so sneaky lol. I am so jealous of all of you people getting snow. It isn't fair. If only I could talk Chris into moving back to Wyoming I would have all the snow I wanted. But that isn't going to happen haha. He does not like snow. So in GA we will stay where we are lucky to get snow twice a year and then only a few inches if that. We did have a blizzard in 93 lol and I am waiting for the next one. Although I would rather keep the power this time.

I agree with Shana! Love the picture story! They give so much meaning to your words!! I love Itty Bits face as he contemplates throwing that snowball LOL!!!

Oh and next time get that poor boy a bowl and add a little sugar to that snow!! That was my *favorite* part of snow as a kid! Of course I always watched out for the yellow snow... :)

Really I just gotta throw this out there...SNOW?! Already?! I so feel for you! I hate snow!!

HAA HAA HAA!!! What a little stinker. He's got that perfect mix in his look of "What did I do" and "I will keel you!"

Wow, snow! I can't imagine seeing snow right now.... considering we are still wearing flip flops and sweating in the afternoons. I think I can count on both hands how many times it has actually snowed here in my life. I would love to be out playing with him!!!! It looks soooooo fun!!!! Yet, very cold too... not really my favorite! I am sure you guys are so accustomed to it that is is nothing.

You do the best picture walk posts!!! I always love them!!!!

Hi! I just read your profile and saw that you mentioned that you "happen to be deaf" and I also noticed you referred to the Pacific Northwest. Girl, I'm deaf too and I'm also in the Pacific Northwest but I do not recognize you! Well, not that I would, I don't socialize much but it tickled me to find another deaf blogger out there! So... bottom line? Hi!

What do you mean you don't own snow boots? Can't cowboy boots be snow boots? Especially if they've got gription like mine do :)

Love the pictures of Itty Bit callin Kona over and of your beautiful mare.

Happy Thanksgiving to the Once Upon family - big hugs from all of us.

I noticed the socks on his hands right away. I can't imagine licking snow off them. Yuck!

You are in for it when Itty Bit hits about 8 years old. :D It'll be fun blogging times for you. Bwahahahahaha!

LOL!! You cracked me up with the "rainbow bars" at the end of your post!!

I LOVE the mischievous, cheeky look on Itty Bit's face! Between you and Mr. Daddy for parents, I'm pretty sure you know where that cheekiness came from. ;p

Your pics are great!!! Although, I have to admit I am glad that we don't live in your area. Would like to visit it sometime though.

Looks like fun...just don't let Itty Bit eat the yellow snow. ;)

Wow, that's a lot of snow! Love the picture sequence and especially Itty Bit's facial expressions! What a cutie (and mischievous, hee hee!) :)

What a cute picture story. Looks like lots of fun. I'm jealous of your snow. This morning I got excited about a little bit of frost.

Hahahaha... the color bars totally cracked me up!!!! Apart from that, I adore Itty Bit's expressions; he's enjoying the white stuff (unlike poor Kitty....). Dadgum, that snow is really coming down on y'all. Brrrr. It makes me cold just lookin' at it. I was grumbling a little bit about our 40 degree weather with clouds and light rain, but not anymore! Stay warm....

I want to build a snowman...

I'm amazed by how much snow you already have. I'm from Northern Wisconsin and we usually get a fair amount but haven't had very much so far. My kids love playing in the snow and we're anxious for the snow season to begin in earnest. I thought the snowman's mohawk was very cute.

HeatherOz said...

Ugh! I SOOOOOO miss the snow! I am hoping we can take a little trip to the north to visit a little bit of snow. I know my boys would absolutely LOVE to build a snowman!

Glad you got some snow this year! The kids look like they were having a blast having fun in it. The way they are supposed to! :)
