Is it a bad thing

Is it a bad thing?

That my son just affectionately hugged me, patted my stomach, and said,

“You’re growing every day”

?

It’s all your fault little dude.

All your fault.

(You don’t have to say it.  Yes, I wish I was.  No, I’m not.  Please, talk some sense into Mr. Daddy!)

I don't think I've ever been first over here. :D

That kid is hysterical!

I'm not going to interfere on that one again. Mr. Daddy knows my opinion already. ;)

You must say that to Itty Bit all the time, so he thinks it's a compliment. Right? Even though you aren't growing, he's just trying to make you feel good, like you do to him. That's MY story and I'm stickin to it.

With a face like his, I can see why he's so easily forgiven!

Wish I COULD convince Mr. Daddy for you! Why? Because you're both such wonderful parents!!

(And Itty Bit would be such a great big brother! Ha! Had to sneak that in there for his sake!)

Both parents have to be in agreement on that very serious, selfless, lifelong commitment, though. I'm sublimely happy I made the commitment four times, but I could never pressure someone else to make a lifelong commitment they might be unsure of, for any reason. In my heart of hearts, though, I would love to see you get your wish, Rachel. I love how much you both love your child and it's obvious he loves you back. He mirrors the security of that love. (He's just so stinkin' adorable! I love these pictures!)

Perhaps it is prophetic? Just saying...

Children often say it like it is whether we like it or not :-)

I always tease Z about how big her tummy is because she eats so much. Then one time she looked at me and said (as if to make me feel better), "But Mommy, your tummy is more bigger than mine." Uh, thanks... 8S

Itty Bit has that exact same expression and look as you do in that second picture! He is just too adorable for words. He is. :)

He's still not convinced that Itty Bit needs an 'in house' playmate?

My fave 'fat' quote from my niece, who was inviting my mother to join her in the playground tunnel, if her larger Grandma-sized body would fit:

"Come up with me, Grandma, if your big butt will fit."
