Etsy Finds & Specials

So I can't possibly leave that last post up without giving a shout out to my newest batch of Etsy favorites, right?

Just because I’m not crazy about the idea of having a fertilizer pillow on my sofa, doesn’t mean I wouldn’t want to see a couple of these pretties arrive on my doorstep!

Pillows are an easy way to add some personality to a room, and Idari has loads of patterns.  She’s running a promo in her sister shop, DIYpillows – buy 3 get the 4th free and enjoy free shipping!

For something special for your walls?  After seeing my brave friend marry her Prince Charming last weekend, this print really hits home:

And it comes in that lovely turquoise that matches the pillow above… or in TANG – which I adore!  Check out JollyGoode’s shop for more inspirational art for your home.

This next favorite is rather apropos considering that it is the perfect romantic gift for a certain romantic day coming up *ahem*…

Now I know there are a bunch of y’all who have those amazing Cricut machines… but would you believe this guy handcuts these?  I mean, with scissors and all?  How insanely talented is this?

And even better, you can check out his Facebook page for a 10% discount!  PapercutsbyJoe says there’s still time to get a gift for your Valentine if you add Priority or Express shipping!

And this next one goes straight onto my wishlist… I was smitten the first time I saw it:

Let’s just say that my current camera strap has been washed a few times… cuz it gets a fair amount of use.  And Mr. Daddy isn’t exactly fond of me asking him to hold it… I can’t imagine why the flowers bother him?  This one is a wee bit less girly, no? :)

CottonCandyByNatalie has many more options – something for every picture-taking mommy!

And speaking of flowers?

You think Mr. Daddy would mind if I stored his collection of elk calls in one of these?

I mean, it’s reversible y’all, how awesome is that?

But truly?  Itty Bit’s favorite is the real story here:

Since the kiddo is taking after Daddy in the Nerf shooting department, these could hold ammo?

BaffinBags has all kinds of darling storage containers… I’m rather addicted to her Dr. Seuss designs!

And as I was linking back to my next favorite… I nearly wept at the message:

This item sold on 2/9/2011.

Here was the little beauty I missed out on:

I’ve been wanting a little serving tray just like this.  Maybe you can tell I’m on a bit of a blue/orange kick lately.  So this sweetie from TurquoiseRollerset fit the bill perfectly.  I’m totally bummed to have missed out on it.  So, my Etsy friend, let me know if you have another, k? Cuz I learned my lesson, ha!

What was that about an orange kick?  Tang is a longtime favorite and these little birdies from VintageGreenLimited are an instant dose of cheerfulness!

Quick show of hands… how many of y’all are smiling right now? :)

While you’re grinning, check out this personable pup from GeminiStudio:

Let me admit that it took a good while to narrow down the favorites.  We happen to love Labrador pups and coffee is big around here - so this one is a perfect match.  He’s got loads of other dogs that will have your tail wagging – weimaraner, pugs, and airedales, oh my!

This, my friends, is gonna knock your kids’ socks off: a wall you can write on?

Easier to apply and remove than chalkboard paint, you simply write on this dry erase sticker that adheres to the wall!  I’m loving this idea by SimpleShapes!  They have all kinds of custom decals – I love their creativity!

I’d been following her blog for awhile, then happened upon FarmgirlPaints Etsy shop.  Just look at this bit of wearable inspiration:

As soon as I saw it, I was reminded of Baby Gracie and her butterfly theme.  Shh… wouldn’t it make a great gift for a certain someone’s sister???

BucksCountyFrames has been on my Etsy favorites list for awhile… is it any wonder I’ve been falling in love with tang and turquoise all over again?

And I saved a surprise for last!

I never thought I’d fall this hard for a toy… considering that I’m half-grown and all… (ha), but I am utterly smitten with this treasure from HappyDayVintage:

Seriously?!?!  It’s a toy typewriter that actually printed at one time.

Which just totally makes me think that my handy Mr. Daddy could fix that puppy up in no time and I’d be working on my latest historical novel right quick.

Okay… I’ll stick to blogging on my computer.  But I still want this.  :)

Hope you found some new favorites from our Etsy friends – and just in time for Valentine’s Day

And we’ve got a giveaway or two in the works… stop by soon for details!

I try to steer clear of Etsy shops, because I know that once I start, I could be at them for hours and it's very, very dangerous!

I love the chalkboard decals...and the [text] print!

Oh ... I LOVE Etsy! Did all kinds of Etsy shopping at Christmas! And about that tang ... as I was laying in bed last night, waiting for sleep, letting my mind wander, I wondered if you are still "the deaf girl in the hideous orange sweater!" LOL!

Okay seriously ... I NEEDED a blog button for you (to put in my blog scroll) and you do NOT have one! So ... I created one! Check it out in the scroll in the right hand column of my blog. I think you'll kind of like it but if you don't ... make a new one girlie and I'll replace it! And if you want me to send it to you (for sharing purposes) let me know!

I saw a tangerine purse at Walmart today and totally thought of you. And yes, I read this post and never commented. *hanging head in shame*

One day I am going to decorate my house to look like a model home and no one will be able to mess it up. I wonder how long it will be before that can happen? Considering the age difference between the boys I may have grandchildren in the house when the younger two finally stop making messes.
