I’m a fan of good customer service.
Let’s just say that when something goes wrong with important stuff like oh… CHRISTMAS CARDS… it’s harder for a deaf person to find ways to communicate with a company who first messes up, then keeps telling the deaf customer to CALL THEM.
Not mentioning names (ahem… ends with FISH and starts with SNAP, ahem), but delays are the last thing you want to worry about when in the middle of holiday prep. I know there are more important things…. but I didn’t want to be THAT person whose Christmas cards arrive on December 27th.
Let’s be honest: I kinda glaze over at those sponsored posts where someone rah-rah’s about a company. And yeah, Shutterfly is giving me a purchase credit to write about them (awesomesauce!). But really – have you SEEN the kind of embarrassing posts I’ve put out? Shutterfly probably flinched last time I blogged about them and included a picture of my husband in his high school hot pants outfit.
But somehow the holiday spirit of amnesia worked in my favor and they apparently forgave and forgot ;) My husband; however, has neither forgiven nor forgotten that I published that photo (not awesomesauce).
Don’t y’all think it’s way more fun to see samples of Christmas Cards with people you actually know? I put together some possibilities for this year. Just ignore the fact that some of these photos are not from this year. Because, my friends, 2012 was not kind to my hair. Or my face that can’t decide between wrinkles and acne. Or that 6-year old baby weight. Or my camera that broke.
Oh who am I kidding?
I’ll apologize in advance if this is what you get in the mail this year:

But let’s put the weight of happy family representation on the cutest member of the family:
And just for you… I’ve linked each picture back to where you can find it on Shutterfly. Just click on it and it’ll take you to where you can customize it for your own family. Cuz it would be kind of weird if you used ours.
Shutterfly’s special offers are here – or connect with them on Facebook.
Now I’m off to look into making this the official one for this year…
.
Are you doing Christmas cards this year?

HA I love the last one.. LOVE IT.. too cute..
I think it was a secret this year... I haven't paid for Christmas cards in a loooong time and I didn't hear a peep from Shutterfly this year. I ordered mine already and have mailed them out - still used Shutterfly b/c they're great, but I had to PAY for them. Boo. :(
always do mine on shutterfly! I had done them early and then just waited for 50% off and free shipping...perfect!
I just love Shutterfly! I've let them do my cards in the last several years for sure. I love their options for pictures and especially during the last couple of years (with being able to have extra pictures in the inside as well as back of the Christmas cards.) I also try to get them done early and catch a special (usually I'll get a 20% off with free shipping.) In fact, I just got my big orange box from them this week!
Yup. The good,bad and furry.
Definitely.
Bill
Hoping to... but I am such a terrible procrasinator that I'm not sure I'd mail them if I did get them ordered and ready.
Did I take that pic of you & Mr Daddy? luv u :)
Those are all so great! We used tinyprints because I had a gift card but I have to be honest and say I much prefer shutterfly!
Love that last card, for sure! Love all of them, really. Anything that features the T man has to be good! And yes... I ordered cards this year. And for the first time, I set up a tripod and took a FAMILY PICTURE!!! I did! No need for a collage. No pic of just the boy (although that's not a problem at all when they're still young and cute!). All three of us.. I am so happy to have a card with a picture of all three of us! xoxox.. love YOU...
I absolutely love the "practice" card with you and Mr. Daddy kissing, with the text "Blessings." How appropriate.
Itty Bitt has the perfect face for any and all of those cards! The pic of you and Big Daddy kissing totally made me go awwwwww! My photo books are going to be through Shutterfly this year... I hope they do a good job.
I KNOW WHAT YOU MEAN about customer service telling you to call, but its not that easy! I had a sprint phone number for my vp at work. I used it for over a year. Suddenly it doesn't work anymore. So I email them and tell them the problem. They said to call 1-800-whatever. And I'm like, I cannot call you because my phone number refuses to work. HOW do you expect me to call?! OK so that wasn't totally deaf related but, I hate it still!
Those are great! I love the Joy Peace Love one!
You are right these posts are so much better with pictures of people from the blog you are reading. And yes I am doing cards- need to oder them tonight from Shutterfly actually :)
I wish I'd seen these before I'd ordered ours! I love the templates they have. Okay... there's always next year. Right?
So I am late reading this.. but let me tell you..I just paid rush fees to get my cards here...
and they were the 20th order of cards that I have processed this season.. obviously those first 19 for clients.. You would think a person in this business would have had her cards done as samples... in September!!!
LOVE these cards!!!!!!!!!!!!!
